Local detailsBecause the answer genuinely changes from one part of the valley to the next, and for reasons that have more to do with the housing and the geography than distance.
The most consequential is disposal. Every area we serve routes to the Marion County transfer-station system, and we already know that routing - which facility takes which material and what earns a better rate kept clean. It is the same system county-wide, but a local hauler saves you the multi-facility problem wherever you are.
The second is the housing. The newer subdivisions across South Salem, the hills and Keizer give up bulky, light material that wants a larger container; the older downtown Salem, Silverton and Independence homes give up dense debris that wants a smaller one; and the rural and acreage properties are a category of their own.
The rest is common to the whole valley: the curbside carts that take only household garbage, the Oregon E-Cycles and yard-debris rules, and the wet valley clay that needs its own box. Each area page below covers the access, the routing and what to expect on the ground.
Call and ask. If we are not the right company for your location we will say so.
